A Familiar Face for Over 40 Years
Suzi Wolff, Practice Manager
Suzi Wolff has been a familiar and welcoming face at Cozycroft Pet Hospital for more than 40 years. She began her career working alongside Dr. Steve Haerther as a veterinary assistant, where she developed a deep understanding of patient care and the special bond families share with their pets.
Suzi later transitioned to the front office and practice management, where her warmth and natural love of connecting with people truly found a home. Over the years, she has built meaningful relationships with generations of Cozycroft clients, often caring for the pets of families she first met decades ago.
Today, Suzi remains the heart of Cozycroft—a trusted source of comfort, knowledge, and familiarity who helps ensure every client and pet feels like part of the family

For more than four decades, Cozycroft Pet Hospital has been a trusted part of the Chatsworth community, proudly caring for generations of pets and the families who love them. Founded by Dr. Steve Haerther, the practice was built on a simple yet enduring belief: exceptional veterinary care should always be personal, compassionate, and centered around the unique needs of every pet. From the very beginning, our mission has been to create a welcoming environment where clients feel like family and every pet receives the highest standard of medical care.
Over the years, that commitment has helped us build lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and genuine compassion. Many of the families who first visited us decades ago continue to rely on our team today, often bringing new generations of pets through our doors. We are honored to be part of so many lifelong journeys, celebrating healthy milestones while providing support through every stage of a pet's life.

IN MEMORY OF
Dr. Steve Haerther
1954 - 2026
After graduating from Iowa State University, Dr. Steve Haerther moved to California and began a remarkable career at Cozycroft Pet Hospital that would span more than four decades. Cozycroft became his second home, and he treasured not only the opportunity to care for animals, but also the personal relationships he built with every client and family who walked through the doors. His warmth, compassion, and commitment to treating people and their pets like family became the foundation of Cozycroft. On the rare occasions he was not at the hospital, he could usually be found watching his sons play baseball—his other great joy in life.
Dr. Haerther is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Cody and Casey; and his five grandchildren. His family is honored to carry forward the tradition he began by continuing to provide high-quality veterinary care in the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that meant so much to him.
